What parts of the workshop were most valuable and/or beneficial to you?
Self-evaluations and group exercises, interactions with instructor and classmates.
Always refreshing to focus on meaning; like brushing up on subject matter to stay sharp.
I liked the hands on activities.
The exercises and interactions were most valuable.
Learning from each other.
Assessments and exercises.
Focusing first on intra-personal feelings was useful because I usually focus more on reading others' emotions. Good to stop and think on my own and how they came across.
The personality and communication quizzes (i.e., Where am I on the spectrum).
I enjoyed the discussion on framing, and the part where we viewed images then stated how they each made us feel.
The ability to see people from different emotional levels and engage them in situations without making others feel bad.
The different assessment tests and then the discussions about the results.
Explanation of interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.
Recognizing emotions and learning how to defuse/work through them.
Review of concepts and examples of ways to implement strategies in real life
Assessment baseline of emotional intelligence.
Exercises; discussing how to respond to various nonverbal cues and emotions.
Interpersonal and intrapersonal skill sets and how they differ.
Group discussions, especially those based on real examples.
What improvements should be made to the workshop?
Some technical issues but instructor may do despite them.
Maybe a list of resources (recommended) we could use after class.
Length of class, lecture versus activities.
Address more about how to properly deal with another person's behavior.
Print materials two-sided. Consider more racial diversity and photos on slides.
More time spent on adaptability and resilience to different reactions to things.
Add some videos reference nonverbal communication, listening skills, etc...
More people could be encouraged to participate.
More time - could go deeper
Discussion of scores from first exercise. Optimal score should not be 340.
Examples and stories could be more current
Comments and suggestions for the facilitators
Great class. Thanks!
More practical examples and real-life cases from instructor's experience.
Would highly recommend this training to others.
More training to offer.
Imagine that a coworker asks: what was the workshop like for you? How will you respond?
Good experience, thought-provoking.
Useful to step out of work and think consciously about how we interact with others, as well as our own feelings.
It was enlightening and very informative. It opened me up to being more attentive to my emotions as well as those of others.
Informative; open my mind to some aspects of interpersonal communications I hadn't thoroughly explored.
It reminded me of how I should respond in certain situations and be more aware of what I say and how I say it can be taken by others.
Very informative. Reinforce previously known material and provided ideas for future interactions with others.
Very informative and relevant to daily living/work. Gave me a total new outlook on my emotional intelligence so that I can improve a few things I've noticed with myself that maybe sending the wrong message.
Good use of time good insights.
It is a valuable class that looks at both your self-awareness and how to read others around you.
Great! Awesome - it should be offered to all staff.
Very much about personal understanding versus the understanding of office dynamics. But you need to know yourself before engaging others for productive conversation. A good starting point but I hope the next level class can be offered.
I enjoyed the workshop.
Good information and interaction with the group.
It was a good class to learn how to read verbal and nonverbal cues to improve relationships.
I think we should do the activities in office retreat, well worth it.
